Adachi Fireworks

Postponed last year out of respect for victims of the March 11 quake and tsunami, Adachi's grandiose fireworks display has been rescheduled again in 2012, albeit for rather different reasons. The Adachi Fireworks will be taking place this weekend to mark the 80th anniversary of the ward's establishment, with 15,000 rockets being deployed – a significant increase on the 10,000 used last year.
