Time Out says

[Update, Mar 11] This event has been postponed due to the coronavirus.

One of the world's largest comic fanzine sales events, Tokyo's Comiket returns for three days in May during Golden Week. Everything, from manga and anime to costumes, music and merch, will be on display and on sale. Plus, there’ll be a cosplay corner where you can spot some seriously dressed-up anime fans.

Over 500,000 fans come dressed up every year as their favourite characters but due to the pandemic, coronavirus prevention measures will be put in place this time, which means the number of people allowed inside the venue at one time might be restricted.

Aside from wearing a mask, getting your temperature checked and sanitising your hands upon entry, Comiket advises you to download the government’s Cocoa contact-tracing app and refrain from attending if you’ve been exposed to someone with coronavirus up to two weeks prior to the event.
