Time Out says

Coming on like a turbocharged version of the free festivals that take place in Yoyogi Park throughout the year, the annual Furusato Matsuri gives a chance for prefectures around Japan to dazzle Tokyoites with their culture – and, of course, their food. There'll be stalls at Tokyo Dome hawking everything from saké to seafood, with special sections devoted to donburi rice bowls, fancy desserts and, er, food that you can eat one-handed. When you've sated your appetite (or tired of fighting through the mobs of drooling gastronomes), you can sit back and watch large-scale recreations of popular festivals like the Morioka Sansa Odori and Kochi Yosakoi.
