One of the many Tokyo events that fell victim to 3.11 and its eerie aftermath, this celebration of all things Taiwan will finally take on Yoyogi Park this summer – a full five years since it was first intended to take place. The last weekend of July will see a slew of dance and music performances by both Taiwanese and local artists, including singer-songwriter Monica Wu, pop babyface Nine Chen and idol group PLC, plus a very strong food stall showing – as is to expected of a country known for its world-class street grub scene. Rounding out the programme is a yurukyara show headlined by Kumamon himself – not Taiwan-related, but who's complaining?
