YC&AC Bon Odori Festival

Organised by the Yokohama Country & Athletic Club, this annual festival is now taking place for the 40th time and will see a packed programme of family-friendly fun, including carnival games such as watermelon cracking and a basketball challenge, live music and a wide range of festival food, plus plenty of bon dance action of course. If you're looking for a slightly different take on the classic Japanese summer matsuri, this one should fit the bill perfectly. The YC&AC is located in Yamate, south of central Yokohama and a ten-minute walk from the closest station.
