Solo performance by Aude RAY at Bampot House of Tea

Musician and multidisciplinary artist Aude Ray lives in Whistler, BC, where she composes and write songs, teaches at Whistler Waldorf School, and engages in all kinds of expressive arts. She has been inspired by the Canadian West Coast since 2002, and her love for the mountains, ocean, and lifestyle is reflected in her art. She is originally from Sorel-Tracy, near Montreal, Quebec.

This Whisler local artist was introduced to Kundalini Yoga and chanting, in the Summer of 2004 in Gibson, BC. Aude Ray always connected with the practice of Nada Yoga, divine healing through sound. She has been singing weekly with Whistler Jivamukti Yoga School since December 2013.

Solo or with her band, Aude Ray shows originality in her musical works. She has been studying voice and music for more than fifteen years. Aude Ray sings in French and English in a Jazz/Folk/Pop/Soul genre with colourful tones and poetic metaphors.

Aude Ray is a multi-disciplinary freelance artist (theatre, painting, jewellery, visual art and dance). She enjoys topics that focus on humanity, nature, travel, the abstract, freedom of emotions, love, ecological consciousness and spirituality. In her art she uses a visual language that explores the spontaneity of ideas through movement and intuition, experimentation, feelings and colours.

Her new album “Sirène” (Mermaid) was released in March 2014 after recording sessions in October and November 2013. It was produced by Thomas Dowding @ The Music Room, Powell River BC, and has everything from ballads to grooving tunes to meditation music. It is characterized by a Pop folk sound with a lil’ soul and jazzy twist.
