The Sing! The Toronto Vocal Arts Festival, hosted in Toronto from May 4 - 15, 2016, will have a WHOLE DAY dedicated to the Contemporary A Cappella League!

Join us on May 7th for performances by CAL groups, including CAL Day headliners, Capital Blend, Concrete, and Empire A Cappella, classes and workshops specifically tailored to adult a cappella groups, and fun social activities, including happy hour and a tour of Toronto!

Friday, May 6
Dinner meet-up for out-of-towners

Saturday, May 7
Workshops @ Dancemakers Studio, 9 Trinity Street, 3 District; concerts on the Trinity Square outdoor stage in the Distillery Historic District

10 a.m. - registration and vocal warmups

10:30 – Best Practices for Vocal Health by VoxCura, Canada's leader vocal health, including how to avoid bad vocal habits and how to keep your voice healthy and working well.

11:30 – Let’s Get This Show on the Road – economics and strategies for touring with artist manager Paul Ryan

Noon to 12:25 –Empire A Cappella Performance

12:30 – Music Education: Finding the best resources for music and education.

1 p.m. –O’Pears performance

1:30 – Managing Group Dynamics with Elle Brigida of WACA/Clear Harmonies

2:00 - Concrete A Cappella performance

2:30 - Crowdfunding: how to engage with your audience and community in a whole new way with Timothy Booth from ArtsFunding.ca

3:00 - Retrocity performance

3:30 –Choreo for Non-dancers with Tekay

4:00 - Capital Blend performance

4:30 – Making Instrument Sounds with Your Voice with Aaron Jensen

5:00 –Cadence performance

5:30 – Social Media Marketing with Sue Edworthy

6:30 –Networking session

7:30 - dinner in the area (each singer responsible for his or her own meal purchase)

10 pm. – 120 Diner at 120 Church Street AFTERGLOW where everyone is welcome to take the stage (each attendee is responsible for their own food and drink cost)

Sunday, May 8
Morning –Visit Toronto
Afternoon – Concerts on the outdoor stage in Trinity Square at the Distillery Historic District

Evening –120 Diner for 4Skor at 6 p.m. and Beatsync at 8 p.m. (suggested cover charge of $10 to $20 Canadian per person for each performance)
