Part of the Toronto Fringe Festival, KidsFest is a theatre festival just for kids and their families with daily theatre performances at the George Ignatieff Theatre for children aged 3-12 (babes in arms welcome).

Performance schedule:

The KidsFest Club is a free outdoor clubhouse where kids and their families can enjoy play stations, workshops, special surprise activities and much more. Don't miss our bouncy castle on Saturday July 15 and Sunday July 16 (weather permitting)! Come have fun with us in between shows, or stay and play all day!

Club Hours:
Thursday July 6th: 12pm to 5:45pm
July 7-16: 10:30am to the start of the day’s last show


Empress Cherry Sunday is a back again for the third year in a row! This international award-winning artist will be doing face painting and balloons (for a small fee) for kids of all ages!

�Toronto Public Library - Saturday July 8th and 15th - 12pm to 4:30pm

Our friends from the Toronto Public Library are here to share some of their favourite stories and activities. Don't forget to drop by to check out what's new and sign up for the Summer Reading Club!

MakerKids - Saturday July 15th and Sunday July 16th - 10:30am to 4:30pm

Pop by the MakerKids tent and tinker your heart out. Plunk out a tune on a Fruit Piano, colour your own Minecraft character and more!

MakerKids runs Robotics, Coding and Minecraft workshops to help kids develop the skills and mindsets to become inventors, innovators and entrepreneurs.


Sunday July 9th
FREE Dance Workshop with Penelope Diamantopoulos - 11:00am (45 minutes)

Tell a story without saying a word! Through free movement, kids will learn to express themselves and tell a story in this fun and active workshop.

Penelope is a Toronto-based performer, choreographer and teacher with 6 years of experience inspiring kids to get moving!

Saturday July 15th
FREE Drama Workshop with SPECIAL SURPRISE GUEST - 12:45pm (30 minutes)

Get your sillies out with a series of simple theatre games for all ages!

Sunday July 16th
FREE Art Workshop with Alex Beaton - 11:15am (45 minutes)

Join Alex for an afternoon of making friends and creating your very own silly fish puppet!

Alex is a Toronto-based illustrator who likes to make pictures that explore all the neat ways people can see their own strengths.

Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times at KidsFest.
