Spur Festival says
From neuroscientists to anthropologists to Malcolm Gladwell, there’s no scarcity of theory about why people cleave to a defined collective, even as the world becomes increasingly mobile and interconnected. War, famine and political strife scatter refugees across the world – or trap them in massive camps – while immigration is the main fuel of population growth in many countries, including our own. Have the ties that bind become more fluid, or more rigid? Spur explores the nature of social cohesion from exhilaratingly distinct perspectives.

Participants include: Omar Musa, Irshad Manji, Ben Rawlence, Hadani Ditmars, and Moderator Tom Henheffer.
