For 30 years Peter Chin been practicing as an interdisciplinary artist in Toronto, Indonesia, Cambodia, Latin America, and around the world. Loss of heritage through modernization and globalization has been an ongoing theme in Chin's artwork for decades. His latest work, "Courir d'or," is a series of structured improvisations that allow Chin to respond in the moment and to the other people present in the gallery space. It is a journey that encompasses the installation, meditating on loss and the ambivalence of embracing the modernity of the world, expressing regret, and flirting with nostalgia.
