RANGDA (http://www.dragcity.com/artists/rangda)
Avant super group featuring Sir Richard Bishop (Sun City Girls), Ben Chasny (Six Organs, Comets on Fire) and Chris Corsano (Bjork, Paul Flaherty, etc) arrive in Toronto for the first time, in support of their 3rd release "The Heretic’s Bargain". Bishop's finger style guitar work glistens & dances with Chasny's rough rhythmic tones and Corsano's spotless percussion. Rangda sits in the groove, until they obliterate it, boiling over with a regimented cacophony. Their chemistry is flawless, the trio swings as if one organ. Evoking the feeling of some morricone spaghetti western score through the lens of contemporary american folk traditions, and the avant rock genesis, all with the sway of the improvisor. Don't sleep on this heavy gig!

WYRD VISIONS (https://www.facebook.com/wyrdvisions/)
Black metal meets out folk guitar master, beautiful, repetitive, enveloping songs that creep into your subconscious. Haunting vocals float across a barren landscape of heavy notes and light string scrapes. Trance like mesmerization of the most organic type. If you didn't catch it the first time around be sure to scope the re-release of essential Toronto album Half-Eaten Guitar!

SACRED LAMP (http://mechanicalforestsound.blogspot.ca/search/label/sacred%20lamp)
Matthew "Doc" Dunn and Ayal Senior's slow brew guitar duo resurfaces. Dipping into the psych folk tradition, acoustic guitar notes shake & vibrate underneath gnarly yet sharp psychadelic guitar meanderings. The duo creates a warm glistening sound, dripping & radiating, this music feels like it's engulfing you. Come early for the meltdown!
