EXPLORATIONS IN THE CITY - WHERE PLAY MEETS ART,
EDUCATION AND DESIGN

This closing panel will ask panelists from a diversity of perspectives (politics, design, education and art curation) to join the conversation on the role that creative methods of exploration in cities could and should play in both the urban design and the planning process.

Panelists:
- Kristyn Wong-Tam, City Councillor of Ward 27
- Janine Marchessault, public art curator and Professor of Media Studies at York University
- Josh Fullan, educator, consultant and founder of Maximum City
- Adam Nicklin, Partner and co-founder of Public Work an award winning urban design and landscape architecture firm
- Moderated by Mojan Jianfar, Cultural Planner at City of Mississauga

Panelist Bios- http://www.crazydames.com/webuiltthiscitypanelistbios

Questions we are considering include:
- Is there potential for artist inquiry and play to be embedded in the planning process?
- Can creative methods of public engagement reach diverse and/or marginalized communities where traditional forms may fall short?
