This 1.5 hour class will cover beginner level cane and hat tricks that can be incorporated into many dance forms, including Burlesque! Time to pull a little inspiration from the golden age of film, from the silver screen, from the days of class and cabaret!

Hats will be required, and only a few canes will be provided, so please bring your own if you have them! A good style of hat for tricks is something like a firm Fedora, or at least a hat that won't fold on itself!

Bring: Hat and cane!

Price: $35 ($30 for members)

WHO IS JASPER?
Jasper (not our circus Jasper, a whole different Jasper!) has been performing partnered and solo swing dance forms since 2009. He is part of the cane duo PB & J who have taught cane tricks to beginner students for 3 years, and performed their original Cane Trick Shim Sham routine internationally. Their most recent project called the Astaire Affaire (in collaboration with Kris Light), incorporated Cane Tricks, Hat Tricks, and Tap dancing into one large group routine!
