Time Out says

This is yet another questionable remake of a much loved ’70s Hindi comedy (‘Gol Maal’). Muslim Abbas (Abhishek Bachchan) inadvertently passes himself off as a Hindu when he goes to work in a rural Indian village. He persuades an ageing prostitute to masquerade as his mother in order to fool his boss, Prithviraj (Ajay Devgn). A series of unfunny slapstick sketches follow as this lie spirals out of control. This aims to be an unpretentious masala potboiler. It succeeds in this respect. If you find ‘face in cake’ gags hilarious, regard shouting as acting and cheer at cartoonlike violence, you will be entertained. Tacky and infantile, this film represents all that’s bad about Bollywood. The songs are catchy but frustratingly they are not subtitled.
