Reggie (Owen Wilson) is the smartest gobbler in his flock. He knows his fellow turkeys are being fattened up for human consumption come November, though his dim-witted brethren are content in their ignorance. You might as well just make up the rest yourself; it will prove infinitely more satisfying than sitting through this laugh-free stab at an animated alterna-holiday classic. The target audience may be the kids who’ll stare goggle-eyed at any low-rent Pixar knockoff, but the purported humor and reliance on nonsensical plot twists—how do you squeeze the President of the United States into this story?—are pure stoner. To call this a turkey would be an insult to poultry.
