Nothing's All Bad
This Danish debut boldly confounds at every turn as it explores the randomness of sexuality. The structure is standard enough. Four lonely characters’ lives intersect: a pretty-boy teenage hustler; a woman in her 30s who has just had a mastectomy; a square accountant who
compulsively exposes himself in public; a retired lady who is perhaps not as demure as she lets on. A subtle script and fine performances add up to a riveting watch; gripping less for the scrapes the four find themselves in than for their unexpected and honest responses, revealing a rather more basic need for intimacy.
