We’re less than a month away from the solar eclipse of 2024, so hopefully, you’ve got your plans sorted. If you’re lucky enough to live in the path of totality in the U.S., you’ll get to experience a rare total eclipse of the sun. Eager sun-chasers from other parts of the country have snapped up hotels and Airbnbs in and around cities like Austin, Indianapolis and Cleveland to witness several minutes of totality (weather permitting). Other parts of the country will experience varying degrees of totality—here’s how to find out when you can catch the eclipse. When is the total solar eclipse? Zoos have had a checkered history, but when they are done right, they provide an excellent opportunity for visitors to connect with animals and build empathy for them. And a key shift in thinking about their mission is that they provide space for endangered species to be protected and to hopefully thrive and reproduce. Where habitats once were brutally small, exposed to the elements, their inhabitants are treated more as museum displays than living creatures, today more care is taken to build habitats that provide comfort and space to move, with areas where animals can hide if they are uninterested in being stared at. We all want to feel wonder at the beautiful diversity of the animal world, and zoos can deliver on that emotion. Just watch young lemurs play with each other, and you’ll be hooked. Here is our list of the top zoos in the U.S. RECOMMENDED: ⛰️ The best outdoor adventures in the U.S.🌍 The best camping in the U.S.

Fast food can get a bad rap. Sure, it's usually not the healthiest option for something to eat—but it's always there when you need it, like when you're on a road trip, are hungover, have a case of the late-night munchies or simply need food that's quick—and cheap.  And out of all the countries in the world, America has fast food on lock. We're home to the OGs like McDonald’s, Burger King and Taco Bell. But across the country, there is a slew of smaller-scale regional favorites, like Maid-Rite and Culver's in the Midwest, Zaxby's and Whataburger in the South, or In-N-Out in California. Then we have the higher class breed, like Burger haven Shake Shack. Out of the many fast-food chains, we've ranked our favorites—and called out the must-order dishes at each from the potato olés at Taco John's to the spicy chicken sandwich at Popeyes. Read our list of best fast food restaurants, and prepare to get hungry.

Taco Bell fans are a loyal bunch. By the last count, the average Taco Bell customer visits the fast food chain every 11 days. Even more impressive, by the company's estimates, around half the U.S. population visits the restaurant every month.  Why so much love for the Bell? For starters, it's hella good. Each menu item packs in a symphony of flavor and texture—cheesy, crunchy, salty, spicy—mashed up in various formats that are easy to take to-go and supremely satisfying to eat. A Dorito-flavor taco? Yes, please. Mexican pizza? Absolutely. A tortilla shell wrapped in a pillowy soft gordita and packed with the most delicious sauce known to mankind? Hang on, on my way to my nearest Taco Bell. Be aware: the chain likes to keep its customers on their toes by discontinuing some fan favorites and bringing them back at various times. The way they play with our hearts, and stomachs, is possibly part of the allure. With their bold flavors, innovative twists and irresistible combos, it's a hard task to say which Taco Bell menu items are the absolute best. But we've taken on the difficult yet important work of evaluating all of the dishes at Taco Bell—and ranking them from worst to best. Did your go-to order make the cut? Take a look and see if you agree with our line-up.
