Peace Oriental Teahouse (Sukhumvit 49)

Following the success of its Ekkamai headquarters, Peace Oriental has branched out to a second location on Sukhumvit 49. The space also features a minimal Zen vibe, while the menu still offers a wide selection of premium Japanese and Chinese tea. For the full-on tea ceremony experience, try Gyokuro where first-rate green tea is served in three different ways (hot, cold and in leaf form). For that “perfectionist matcha experience,” opt for koicha (thick premium matcha) or the lighter usucha. Peace Oriental’s premium green tea is also available as a tasty, umami-packed ice cream. Flavors include genmaicha (matcha with roasted brown rice), Houjicha (roasted matcha) and Koicha (milk ice cream doused in matcha).
