Where to stay in Sidon

You’ve got a number of options when it comes to spending the night in Sidon, whether you are on a budget or splashing the cash. For a sumptuous night in a boutique hotel, check into El Kalaa (www.alqualaa.com). Each of the stylish rooms is unique in its own way, but have all been inspired by a medieval castle chic -- with low level lighting, exposed sandstone walls and artisanal hangings from the large and comfy beds. You can expect a night to set you back around LL 150,000. For an equally enjoyable, but cheaper night, Hotel Yaacoub can be just perfect. All the rooms have a classy decor, with exposed walls, iron bedsteads and wooden rafters as well as an en-suite bathroom and air con. With rooms starting at LL 55,000, and breakfast included, you’ll find it extremely good value.
