Chitrlada Palace review Rate it
This haven where King Rama VI wrote plays and books is the residence of Rama IX. Access is restricted to tours of the Royal Projects (which are sustainable development schemes). Project and Support Foundation products are sold in Chitrlada Shops here and at the Grand Palace, Dusit Park, the Hotel Mandarin Oriental, the airport at Suvarnabuhmi and at Or Tor Kor market. Around the date of the royal birthdays (Queen's Birthday, 12 Aug; King's Birthday, 5 Dec) the moat is beautifully illuminated.
