The 19th-century mansion of Prince Chakrabongse opens three Thai-style villas to guests. Exquisitely furnished with teak, silk and modern amenities, they offer seclusion, a garden pool and views of Wat Arun across the river from the dining sala. Expect a warm welcome and Thai meals bought and cooked to order. Outside the gate lies Wat Pho, the flower market, the apothecaries of Tha Tien and Expressboat piers (although the villas also have their own boat). Book well in advance. Tailored dinners can be booked separately.
