Time Out says

If you like a little politics to go with your outdoor music festival action, head on down to Yokosuka for the inaugural edition of Zendama Fes, a one-day carnival packed with free gigs, street performances and food stalls and held to encourage voting in the upcoming Upper House election. The seaside Mikasa Park will be rocking to the tunes of composer and pianist Wong Wing Tsan, folk veteran Goro Nakagawa, J-popper Jiino, indie unit Rose in Many Colors and many more, while the list of speakers includes the likes of actor Junichi Ishida and journalist Jun Hori. And yes, those without the right to vote in Japan are welcome, too.
