Time Out says

With 32 acres of open space directly adjacent to Chinatown, L.A. State Historic Park boasts an amazing view of Downtown. The park was once home to major events like FYF, Renegade Craft Fair and Hard Summer, but all went quiet with a major multi-year renovation that started in 2014. Upon its completion in spring 2017, the park redesign added drought tolerant landscaping, a scenic overlook bridge, an orange grove and a snack bar, Cargo.

What’s on

Street Food Cinema

For dinner and a movie, all in one, just follow the food trucks. During the spring, summer and fall, Street Food Cinema throws together a series of outdoor parties that include screenings of some of our favorite movies, paired with an assortment of gourmet food trucks and even a live music performance from a cool local band. The screenings are held in venues across L.A. and alternate from week to week, so make sure to check the schedule. Some of the outdoor venues are dog-friendly, allowing you to bring your four-legged cinema lover along. See more of this season’s outdoor movie screenings in L.A.

The Chainsmokers

Self-proclaimed “frat bro dudes” the Chainsmokers may be the kings of cookie-cutter EDM, but that hasn't stopped them from becoming one of the biggest modern electronic acts. See them at L.A. State Historic Park for a mini festival, dubbed The Party Never Ends, with ALOK.

Zedd

German EDM superstar Zedd (given name: Anton Zaslavski) has graduated from the festival circuit to his very own mini fest. Once again, Zedd in the Park will find the producer headlining an evening at L.A. State Historic Park.

Dom Dolla

It’s safe to say it’s been a massive year for Aussie music producer Dom Dolla. He’s performed sell-out shows across the globe, played festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza and Tomorrowland, nabbed a Grammy nom for his remix of Gorillaz’s “New Gold” and now plays L.A. State Historic Park this fall.
