The Thai music scene seems to be drawing the spotlight. T-pop artists have been making headlines in Asian nations (and Twitter), indie and emo genres have resurfaced, and live houses have popped up around town, hosting local gigs every week.
And it just so happens that Billboard, the world’s most famous and influential music ranking brand, has decided to launch (again) in Thailand with two charts: a Thai music ranking, which covers all genres, and a Thai country ranking, which focuses on Thai louktoong songs.
The charts will be updated weekly based on data collected from digital sales and streaming on various digital channels. Check the latest charts here and here.
Prior to this relaunch, the music media was in Thailand pre-digital era as a music magazine.
