Virtually visit Rovinj in stunning timelapse video

If you’re unsure whether to stop by Rovinj on your Croatian travels, a stunning new video may help you decide. The quaint Istrian city is the latest subject of the global ‘Cities in 4K’ project, which captures worldwide cities in heightened glory using 4K resolution.

Other popular Croatian destinations including Hvar island and Dubrovnik have been featured in the global project, which uses timelapse photography to give a condensed impression of spending a day in a city.

Rovinj is known for its cobbled streets and Austro-Hungarian architecture, its lively markets and sumptuously-set restaurants looking out to the sea. This video shows the gorgeous place from street level and birds-eye, at day and at balmy night.

Sights covered include the old town, the port, Church Sveta Eufemija and the central town clock. Watch the video, filmed by Amir Kulaglić, below:
