SPONSORED REVIEW

Given the high profile and glowing reputation of Dubrovnik in certain circles across the Atlantic, it was only a matter of time before the Sheraton chain joined its competitors in bidding for the business and discerning tourist market. With nearly all the prime locations already taken, it was equally inevitable that the Sheraton group would have to find somewhere slightly out of town – calling it the Dubrovnik Riviera is a modern construct. Some 6km from the Old Town (but only 11km from the airport), Srebreno was previously known as a destination for rather upscale local clubbers. This is, as much as anything, a conference hotel, with a huge space for state-of-the-art facilities, as well as 240 guestrooms, Shine Spa, gym, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and direct beach access.

Dubrovnik, Croatia's most photographed city, is so visually stunning that you needn't do more than spend the week gazing at the superlative views. The majestic city walls, the cobbled old town, and a crop of top quality restaurants provide the perfect conditions for a memorable holiday.
