Cathedral of the Assumption

The best-preserved historical site in town, this three-nave Cathedral was built on the site of an early Christian basilica and dates from the early 1200s with a bell tower added later. An early Romanesque Church, unusually set on two levels, leans on the Cathedral and contains a museum of sacral art.
