As the name suggests, this little place is right in the centre of town near the town hall. Resembling a war-era rustic French bar with a beamed ceiling, wooden tables and eclectic pictures on the walls, it’s packed with character – and so is the food. Its vegetarian dishes, made using locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients, go down a treat and its lunchtime daily changing set menu packs the small place out every day. If you can’t get in for lunch, go for a local beer instead and take in the bustle in the cobbled square – filled twice a week by a market – from one of its outside tables.
