Time Out says

Petting is called for over dinner at Rive Gauche in Zurich’s Baur au Lac this Valentine’s Day.

Where there is a celebration, Baur au Lac’s Rive Gauche has a suitably inspired menu for the occasion. This Valentine’s Day, chef Olivier Rais and his team are working to the motto ‘Life is short – don’t hide your love’ with a five-course menu full of loving touches. Beef tartar and parmesan cheese is followed by Arctic char with beetroot and “Oeuf Cocotte" with Perigord truffle, while the main sounds more mouth-watering still: roasted veal fillet, langoustine and avocado with potato patties and seasonal vegetables. Don’t worry too much about polite refinement, either. Petting is strictly allowed. It is Valentine’s Day, after all. The dinner costs CHF 125 per person. Book ahead for a sitting at 6pm or 9.15pm by emailing info@agauche.ch.
