Built by the Japanese, this state-run concert hall also has a small hall, but suffers from uncomfortable seating, a poor cafeteria, ageing facilities and being a long trek from the MRT. It's home to the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra and most visiting dance and music performances (including September's International Festival of Music & Dance). The site will eventually gain a new national theatre and an art gallery.
