Following yesterday's Bill Bailey tour announcement, we've learned that another 'Black Books' alumnus will be gigging in Edinburgh next year. Dylan Moran is heading up a new series of Gilded Balloon comedy nights at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre's smaller space, The Studio, in advance of a full UK tour from March-May. He'll be joined at the launch event on Sat Jan 10 by Geordie comic Kai Humphries, 2013 Scottish Comedian of the Year Larry Dean and compere Raymond Mearns.

The new night echoes Gilded Ballon's success at Glasgow's Drygate, where they've welcomed the likes of Felicity Ward, Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Rouse during their weekly Friday night residency. Future Gilded Balloon nights at The Studio will feature sets from Aisling Bea, Paul Tonkinson, Justin Moorhouse and Jarred Christmas, while local talent like Katie Mulgrew, Ray Bradshaw and Scott Agnew will be invited to compere.

Tickets for the Dylan Moran event are on sale now at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre website.

Gilded Balloon Comedy, The Studio at the Festival Theatre, from Sat Jan 10.
