Edinburgh Fashion Week is just around the corner, bringing you the latest spring/summer trends from some of Edinburgh’s best-known fashion boutiques. Running from March 7-15, the event's opening weekend will host fashion shows featuring Edinburgh boutiques and high street stores. With this in mind, here's five stores appearing at the event you should visit.

Kakao by K
Scandinavian design has long been a trend in fashion, and Kakao by K on Thistle Street specialises in feminine pieces. In store you'll find stylish clothing, accessories and jewellery from brands such as Olivia Burton, Soaked in Luxury and YAS.

ALC
Thistle Street serves up another gem with this boutique specialising in denim. The perfect pair of jeans is possible at ALC - and why not pair it with a cosy jumper and some accessories?  Expect brands such as Twisted Muse, and celebrity favourite Paige.

21st Century Kilts
The Scottish national attire has been given a cool makeover thanks to Howie Nicholsby. Who would have thought you could get kilts in denim, camouflage, pinstripe and leather? Kilts actually just got sexy.

Odyssey Boutique
If 'Fifty Shades of Grey' has you hot under the collar, then you may want to drop by Odyssey Boutique and invest in some new designer lingerie. Make yourself irresistible in brands such as Simone Perele and Fleur of England.

Walker Slater
Who doesn't love a bit of tweed? Walker Slater in Edinburgh's Old Town specialise in tweed in all its forms. Expect jackets, coats, skirts, trousers, waistcoats, luggage - basically anything that you can think of, but in tweed. It's super stylish and, happily, not at all naff.
