But this is also, unashamedly, comedy for the masses, so even comics known for edgy material may jettison their riskier gags in favour of the crowd-pleasers; not for nothing has the club's empire spread from humble beginnings to an astonishing 15 UK branches. The ticket price includes entrance to the post-gig club; no wonder it's popular with large parties.
