Wild Geese II (1985)
Director: Peter Hunt
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
A pseudo-'good idea' for a movie: springing Hitler's ancient deputy Hess from Spandau prison. To what end, though? Eschewing any scenario about buried Nazi gold, the writer (Reginald Rose, a long way from 12 Angry Men) opts for the batty notion that a TV executive would hire a flock of mercenaries to lift Hess so he can appear as guest on a chat show. In the run-up to the big event a familiar assortment of Arab terrorists, KGB colonels and whatnot bustle around the scene exchanging gunfire, waylaying one another and generally reproducing the adolescent ambience of Wild Geese the first.Author: BBa
