From Time Out London

It seems unfair to knock the self-starting attitude of 21-year-old Vicky Jewson, who wrote and directed this shoddy modern update of the medieval yarn, setting it in Oxford and aiming for Working Title-esque likeability in the story of Jemima (Phoebe Thomas), a young woman who is desperate to get her local art centre up and running again and then falls in love with a local chinless horse-fancier (Matthew Chambers) who might be able to help her achieve her dream. ‘Anyone can do anything,’ he says, chinlessly.

There’s no getting away from the fact that the film is awful: the performances, the writing, the direction are all straight out of the ‘Hollyoaks’ school of non-filmmaking. Amateurism has its place (off our screens, mainly), but this is a cynical affair, with Jewson intending us to laugh, cry, swoon and cheer. If you fancy a giggle… otherwise stay well-clear.

Posted on Jan 25 2008 10:20 We were were shocked by the total awfulness of this film,The script is a trad' girls fantasy of being removed from reality by a rich man on a horse/copter.
Written by an eejit who didn't bother to ask for feedback before releasing this monumental waste. Our whole row could have told her! STOP NOW - don't waste any more money.90 minutes too long,
