You’ll spend more time with the food than the fish in ‘Shark Night 3D’, a ‘Jaws’ clone stranded in the shallow end of the pool. A gaggle of brain-dead students fend off various species of eating machines in a salt-water lake. But after a blond bather does her best Chrissie Watkins impersonation – sans the blood, boobs and moonlight ?– it’s an eternity before the rest of the film’s beach bait get the gnashing they deserve. Director David R. Ellis (‘Snakes on a Plane’) knows how to rack up a body count, but he’s coy with his camera. His toothless attack sequences unfold under cover of dark water and so the film is the equivalent of a skin flick in which all the sex scenes are tastefully obscured by blankets and sheets.Author: AA Dowd

Things I would rather do than watch Shark Night again:
(1) Pull all of my pubes out one by one.
(2) Be castrated.
(3) Bang Jo Brand (sober).
(4) Watch Loose Women every single day for a whole year.

- Posted on Oct 07 2011 09:51 Agree with below. Good brain-dead entertaintment, with character development and plotting a bit better than many other movies of this type. Totally preposterous, with sharks that not only can jump out of water but apparently can see. One memorable jolt moment, and some ingenious uses of 3D. About on a par with last year's Piranha. Leave your brain behind and go enjoy.

- Posted on Oct 03 2011 21:52 Go for beer and pizza before, enjoy 3 good jumps and fine 3D during this likeable if gore free nonsense, leave laughing and go for some more beer & pizza. Job done. 6/10, less on dvd id guess, but don't need to see ever again so will never know.
