Renovated and expanded by 1,000 seats in 2009—the capacity is 4,000—the Joint remains a popular mid-sized rock venue in Las Vegas, although its cracks are starting to show. There used to be a time when its stage was the only home in Vegas for rock music. Everyone from the Rolling Stones to Paul McCartney to the Killers played there. Now it’s the resident home for ’80s hair-metal group Motley Crue, with occasional shows thrown in by bands as diverse as Nine Inch Nails and the Pet Shop Boys.
