Formerly the Desert Passage, this 1.2-mile loop-mall recently underwent a multi-million-dollar makeover, transforming it from a Moroccan-style market into a contemporary urban centre. The Hollywood-style facelift added trendier, younger labels to attract the kind of hipsters usually found hanging at the Palms or the Hard Rock, among them Lucky Brand, H&M, Bettie Page, Swarovski, Quiksilver, Marciano and Urban Outfitters. What makes it stand out are the scores of eating options – grab a sandwich at Ocean One or party late at PBR Rock Bar & Grill – and entertainment venues studded throughout the mall, plus a free hourly ‘thunderstorm’ show that brings everyone to a halt.
