Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt (‘Inception’, ‘The Dark Knight Rises’) makes his directorial debut with this comical tale of a modern-day Don Juan. Clearly not possessed of great humility, Gordon-Levitt casts himself in the central role of a philanderer sleeping his way through New Jersey’s most beautiful women. He’s also addicted to porn (where does he find the time, you ask?). But – surprise! – he’s empty inside and seeking fulfilment, which arrives in the form of two very different women: Scarlet Johansson and Julianne Moore. But which to choose? Gad, it’s a hard life. Reviews from this year’s Sundance Film Festival were mixed, but generally positive.Release details
