Time Out says
The major problem here is determining the most offensive performance. Is it Banerjee as Indian immigrant Ram Das, or Mitchell in blackface as his scheming cousin IQ? The comedy centres on the daydreaming Das, who comes to England in '75 after losing his job as night porter in a Calcutta brothel. He takes a job as bus conductor until IQ - a toilet attendant at Heathrow - persuades him to pose as a Harley Street chiropractor. Das attends to wealthy female patients in need of attention rather than medical advice, bowing and gesticulating his way into the hearts of the English aristocracy. Despite the make-up, Mitchell charms, his comedy based in character rather than the rabbit punchlines. It's Banerjee, the wide-eyed fool, whose antics are not only less than entertaining, but also alarming.Author: SGo
