Time Out says

Rhodesia...1979...guerilla warfare in the bush...arms smuggling in the Hilton...torrid passion (Collins + Harris) between the bed-sheets. If this attempt to cash in on international news (made in South Africa, incidentally) were a little more reactionary and a little less 'responsible', it might have made a decent action film and turned its images of men at war (platoons skirmishing hopelessly in the bush) to some use. As it is, the plot meanders in desperation, and the increasing archness of Joan Collins in her usual role becomes just another dead-weight irrelevance. If white Rhodesia feels as dispirited as this movie looks, the war of black liberation has already been won.
