Some creationists believe (and they’ve taught this in British schools) that humans and dinosaurs walked the earth together. That must be the version where God knocked it all out in six days and put His feet up on Sunday – because if the man-eating dinos in this exceedingly silly action adventure are anything to go by, they would have made mincemeat of us in no time. It’s set in the Congolese jungle where a British explorer (a cross between Indiana Jones and Ranulph Fiennes, played by  Richard Dillane) has arrived to investigate sightings of Africa’s answer to the Loch Ness monster.?What he finds is a colony of angry dinosaurs up for a rumble. His teenage son has snuck along as a stowaway (and sports a remarkably resilient  boyband haircut). Director Sid Bennett is a CGI whizz and does a better job animating his dinosaurs (there are some terrific killer bat-like critters) than his actors. Irritatingly, though, it’s shot as ‘found-footage’ – like ‘Cloverfield’ – complete with nodding-dog camerawork.

  • I loved the way the story was written. It was a great story, plot, and good choice of cast. What I did not was that in the beginning it stated that the images were found and actually 'real.' Otherwise, it was fun and action-packed. I had a fun time. Sadly I did not see it in theaters, but from my nearest RedBox.

  • i thought the movie was amazing good. great plot , great story , great cast, great location, great CGI , great acting, and anyone who didn't like this movie should not go to see dinosaur movies. this is what you get, and i loved it. only in 3d imax would have been even better. if there is a sequel i am sure gonna see it as well .

  • Who thought it was good? Well, judging from the comments below, the PRs paid to advertise it and the guy who did the special effects.

  • This was an appalling film. I asked for my money back and i got a big smile and nod from the ticket girl as i got a refund. Its like a doctor who episode. The CG effects were laughable. A few shots looked ok, usually the ones where things are far away and blurry. With such amazing standards and quality in most films that are released in the cinema, who on earth thought this was good?

  • The CG was provided by Jellyfish pictures, which is probably why they are so good. Very good

  • Don't be so negative! We went as a family with teenagers ranging in age from 12 to 18 and all enjoyed it. Certainly had me jumping out of my seat a few times. The CGI is great and the African scenery gorgeous. It's British too which makes a change
