The writer-director of ‘Humpday’ and ‘My Sister’s Sister’, Lynn Shelton, returns with another semi-improvised family drama, again starring Rosemarie DeWitt. She plays a massage therapist whose happy existence is shaken when her failing brother’s dental practice takes off. Okay, so this hardly sounds like the most riveting setup imaginable – masseuse meets dentist, havoc ensues – but trust Shelton to give her characters depth and her story resonance. The film received a rocky reception at the Sundance Film Festival in 2013 – but this director’s work has been consistently interesting so far.
