If you’ve never heard of Norwegian industrial metal outfit Gothminister… well, you’re not alone. But apparently this confrontational, horror-movie-inspired outfit – whose albums include the cheerfully titled ‘Empire of Dark Salvation’ and the does-what-it-says-on-the-tin ‘Gothic Electronic Anthems’ – are so popular among make-up-wearing, cider-and-blackcurrant-drinking types that they warrant their own big screen outing. Inspired by frontman Bjorn Alexander Brenn’s own personal history, the film follows the life of a lawyer whose experiences in the goth-metal underground cause him to lose touch with reality. Expect piercings, plenty of gore, and people in leather kecks, eyeliner and slap taking themselves very, very seriously indeed.
