The Deaf Institute - aka Trof 3 - is the third bar in the Trof empire, following Trof 2 in the Northern Quarter and the original in Fallowfield, called simply Trof. The Grade II-listed Deaf and Dumb Institute has been converted into a cavernous café-bar and music hall to rival the best of the City Centre venues.
Weekend club nights rotate and include indie favourite Up the Racket, the innovative Now Wave DJs, and hip pop party Guilty Pleasures. Tuesday's Gold Teeth night brings gangsta rap to the main bar, with grunge and punk in the basement.
