Time Out says

4 out of 5 stars

Now with ten restaurants to its group, Gusto's elegant doors opened in Manchester city centre at the end of 2014.

The design takes its inspiration from the traditional grand cafés of Europe, accessible and welcoming, but with a hint of decadence and a touch of luxury. There's a spacious open dining room with rows of cast iron columns - light and airy during the day, warm and intimate in the evening, with an island bar at its centre.

The kitchen is on display, enabling diners to witness the activity and hustle within the restaurant, so you feel part of the action. The private dining room seats up to 12 and is a welcome space if you're after something quieter than the hustle of the main area.

The menu is very reasonably priced and the food is delicious. Signature cocktails are better than the standards (which are also very good), so go for one of them, the wine choice is excellent, and the food is delicious. It's nice also to get a proper welcome on the way in.
