This huge, shiny mall caters for every whim and is, therefore, generally pulsing at the seams with bag-laden shoppers. All the major fashion names are here, plus John Lewis and Selfridges. In between are smaller chains, gift stores, endless cafés and a vast food court, topped with a multi-screen cinema.
Barton Arcade hosts homeware stores such as Dwell and Habitat. The decor has an incongruous neoclassical theme, with sweeping marble halls, frolicking nymph murals and Romanesque busts surveying the retail frenzy.
