On July 7, Penang celebrates its anniversary on being inscribed as a World Heritage Site. To mark this occasion, Penang Heritage Trust's latest Private Home Visit series explores the home of Penang's first Kapitan Cina, Koh Lay Huan. Old Peranakan portraits and furniture are still intact in this home, which makes this visit ever more nostalgic. This home is currently a private family home, so this tour will benefit those who are curious about this historical figure. There will only be two tours conducted on the day and all proceeds will go to Penang Heritage Trust.
Visitors are advised to arrive at Gallery 29, 15 minutes before the tour's start time. Photography is permitted within the first courtyard area only.
