The UNESCO International Jazz Day was initiated back in November 2011. Today, Penang takes on the much-loved music genre with a series of events to last throughout April. 13 programmes are currently planned, which includes performances by the Penang Philharmonic jazz band, jazz band sessions, films and inspiring talks. The main event for 'A Celebration of Jazz 2013' will be held in Gurney Paragon on Apr 30 (7.30pm-10.30pm). Itinerary includes performances by five various music groups, each with their unique style and brand of music.
