Motherly Lisa has been getting up at 4am every morning for the last 13 years to serve the residents of Södermalm. She has around 250 photos of regulars gracing the walls of her café and claims she can tell you a story about each and every one of them. Cinnamon buns (kanelbulle) are the house speciality, but ask for a latte or a frappuccino at your peril, since any coffee with warmed-up milk is barred from her menu - she champions the survival of the plain coffee. Lisas Café & Hembageri is as local as they come and continues to weather the storm of competition from the slew of trendy new cafés sprouting up in the area.
